It’s official, Houston, we are now a Michelin-starred city. In addition to 13 Bib Gourmands, Houston secured 6 Michelin Stars. On top of that, Houston is set to receive Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera – a 15 Michelin Star award winner.
Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera is an Edomae Japanese sushi concept that originated in Ginza, Tokyo. Head by the Onodera Group, the high-end sushi concept now has 20 locations in three countries. Its first restaurant on the U.S. mainland opens in Houston on Saturday, November 16 at West On West at 12270 Westheimer Rd.
The word “kaiten” refers to the traditional Japanese practice of serving sushi on a conveyor belt. Kaiten Sushi’s executive chefs use premium, locally-sourced ingredients with fresh seafood flown in directly from Japan, crafting each dish with traditional Edomae sushi techniques. Its Houston restaurant will also offer unique and exclusive Texas-inspired menu items in a relaxed, upscale atmosphere.

In celebration of its Houston opening, Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera will host three days of promotions. Here, 300 guests each day will be able to enjoy Yamayuki Bluefin Tuna 3 set and Salmon 3-piece set at exclusive prices and will be able to take a shot at spinning the wheel for a gift cards with values up to $100.
Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera opens on Saturday, November 16, at the NewQuest West On West development at 12270 Westheimer Rd. The restaurant will be open every day from 11 am to 10 pm.
