
The Houston Zoo is turning into Jurassic Park this season (sans peril) with the debut of Jurassic Giants. Try not to clip any butterflies as you traverse a forest trail populated with prehistoric creatures along the way, including the likes of Mamenchisaurus, Allosaurus, and more.
Teased since early January this year, Jurassic Giants at Houston Zoo is a highly-anticipated all-new immersive, prehistoric experience. Here, adventurers can wander about the lush trails of the zoo, where herds of dinosaurs linger in the foliage.
The experience runs from March 7 to September 1 will see the introduction of 60 new dinosaurs, presented by TXU Energy, and include such species as the Allosaurs, Mamenchisaurus, and Herrerasaurus.
The experience will also feature new dig sites, as well as plenty of photo-ops.
Jurassic Giants at Houston Zoo runs from March 7 – September 1 at 6200 Hermann Park Drive. Tickets to the event are now on sale through the zoo’s website. Prices vary depending on the day, with peak hours and days priced slightly higher.
Tickets start at $38.90 for adults (ages 13 – 64), $33.15 for children (ages 3 – 12) and seniors (ages 65 and higher). Infants aged two and under are permitted free entrance.
Jurassic Giant ticket purchases include access to the entire Houston Zoo including unlimited carousel rides and a commemorative conservation bracelet.
The Houston Zoo is a city institution that’s received numerous awards over the years, including its placement on the top 10 zoos in the United States by Blooloop. Other ongoing exhibitions at the Houston Zoo include the cutting-edge, $70 million Galapagos Islands exhibit opened early 2023.
