Dibs on the racecar!
Ah, the classic board game and pastime that, for over a century, has tested the resilience of relationships between family and friends. Rather than spending six hours around a table as your loved ones slowly become your unloved ones, you can all be on the same team this week at Houstonopoly, the life-sized board game pop-up with a Houston twist! Ever thought the real estate on the classic board game lacked character? This week you can see the board reimagined and super-sized with familiar locales such as Minute Maid Park, Toyota Center, Astroworld, and NASA.
In addition to familiar hometown squares, the pop-up features a variety of snapshot installations taken straight out of Clutch City. Strike a pose in front of the Houston skyline, their slab-ulous rim collection, vibrant murals celebrating Houston artists, artistry, and communities, and more!
In addition to enjoying all the immersive installations the 10,000-square-foot interactive board game has to offer, you can rest assured in knowing that this investment will go towards attaining school supplies for the kids of HISD. Plus, if you donate a new school supply item you will be entered to win a $500 cash prize!
Houston favorite, The Turkey Leg Hut, will also be onsite!
Houstonopoly takes place this week opening at 11:30 am daily at 2501 Rice Boulevard. Ticket prices and time slots are listed online for you to reserve your spot! This is the last week of the largest board game in Texas being open in Houston, the pop-up closes August 29.
