Calling all bibliophiles! It’s time to celebrate the return of the third annual Houston Independent Bookstore Crawl. From April 1 – April 30, 2026, Houston’s literary community is coming together, and your mission is to visit as many local shops as possible to support the city’s vibrant reading scene.
Here’s how to participate: From now until Thursday, April 30, stop by any one of the 31 participating bookstores to grab your official 2026 Bookstore Crawl card. At every new shop you visit, have a staff member stamp or sign your card. While no purchase is necessary to get your card signed, we strongly encourage to buy something in support of our local scene.
The Houston Bookstore Crawl 2026 will feature a raffle wherein those who’ve collected 15 stamps are eligible to enter – every stamp after 15 earns you an extra entry. To participate, drop in your card at any one of the stores on Thursday, April 30.
