The empire that is Hello Kitty can not be overstated. What began as a fashion mascot imprinted on a coin purse, has grown into various TV series, video games, and albums; merchandise lines of epic proportions, including toys, backpacks, toasters, and luxury “items” such as restaurants, jewelry, and jet airliners just to name a few.
Also included, is the Hello Kitty Cafe Food Truck, which is set to return to the Houston area this Saturday, March 15 at Katy Mills Mall in Katy.
In 2014, Hello Kitty steered into the food truck business. Their pop-up cafe food truck has since driven across the country, parking in various cities around the globe to deliver themed food, drinks, and merchandise to adoring fans.
Its menu features an assortment of sweets available in packages varying in number. This includes macarons (5 for $20), cookies (3 for $18), and madeleines (8 for $16), and giant Hello Kitty chef cookies $16 a piece.
As mentioned, the truck will also have a variety of Hello Kitty merchandising for purchase. Items include 50th anniversary tote bags, shirts, hoodies, and patch sets. Furthermore, the HK truck will offer pins, cup keychains, ceramic mugs, thermal bottles, and cold cup ornaments. All supplies are subject to availability.
If the Katy stop doesn’t work out for your schedule, don’t worry. Interested parties can see it the week after at the Hello Kitty Food Truck in Houston-area neighborhood of Friendswood when it parks at the Baybrook Mall on Saturday, March 22. Here, the truck will be posted up from 10 am to 7 pm.
And! If that date doesn’t work for your schedule, or if that’s too far a drive from you, the feline food truck will be back the weekend after parking at First Colony Mall in Sugar Land from 10 am to 7 pm on Saturday, March 29.
Please note that the Hello Kitty Food Truck is credit card only, where no cash is accepted.
