Here’s a question: do you have a preferred H-E-B? We’ve been to a few in our time, but none that have really stuck around among the rest – they’re all amazing. However, with the opening of the new H-E-B in New Braunfels, we might have a clear winner.
H-E-B recently opened a outlet in New Braunfels. Located at 651 S Walnut Ave, the new facility is replacing one of their older locations on the same intersection, only this one is 40,000-square-feet larger encompassing two stories a total of 122,000 square feet. For comparison, the H-E-B at North Shephard and 24th Street in The Heights is 92,000 square feet.
The new location is also home to H-E-B’s renowned barbecue chain, True Texas BBQ. The restaurant spans two floors in the new facility, including on its menu its barbecue by the pound, meat plates, sandwiches, loaded potatoes, as well as salads, sides, and nachos.
In addition to the restaurant, the grocer’s also features its very first Home by H-E-B department. Home, which is expected to open up in other select locations soon, includes products from Haven + Key and Texas Proud. The former features a variety of versatile textiles, globally inspired decor, and home-friendly textiles, while the latter offers ranch-style decor, hides, and more.
“We are thrilled to bring a new H-E-B store to New Braunfels, which introduces our customers to some exciting features and departments that are firsts for our company,” said H-E-B Public Affairs Manager Julie Bedingfield.
Other services available in the new H-E-B include Take and Bake Pizza, Boar’s Head deli, flower shop and hand made arrangements, craft beer and wine shops, fish market, Sushiya Sushi, and more.
H-E-B on South Walnut is now open.
