Following the recent opening of the ZZ Top-themed cantina in the Shepherd Park Draught House space, Houstonians will soon have another drinking hole to toast rock n’ roll royalty. Slated to open in the very near future, Everlong Bar & Hideaway in Houston will honor legendary outfit, Foo Fighters, with good drinks and good times.
Taking over the space formerly occupied by UB Preserv, Everlong Bar & Hideaway is a project helmed by renowned culinary creatives, Underbelly Hospitality. After shuttering two of their concepts, UB Preserv and Hay Merchant, and opening another, Wild Oats, the group is on the verge of opening their latest concept, Everlong Bar & Hideaway.
Curated by beverage director, Westin Galleymore, its cocktail menu is set to feature a variety of timeless classics such as Long Island Ice Teas, Cosmopolitans, and Espresso Martinis. Additionally, Everlong will also feature a short and sweet selection of wines and brews, according to Houston Eater.
Much like the group’s other culinary concepts, Everlong will feature a kitchen menu with some familiar favorites such as Hay Merchant’s muffuletta and braised Korean goat dumplings. While the full menu has yet to be released, Everlong is also set to feature a new hamburger as well as an array of shareable dishes.
At the moment of writing this article, the creative group hasn’t announced an official opening date. Initial reports expected the bar to open January of this year, but of course this hasn’t happened. Stay tuned for more details!
As previously mentioned, Underbelly Hospitality recently opened Wild Oats, a southern, ranch-style restaurant as “a love letter to Texas”.
“As Underbelly told the story of Houston food through the city’s cultures, people and ingredients, Wild Oats aims to explore the cultures and native ingredients that make Texas the diverse state that it is. Expect a menu inspired by the Southern, Mexican, and ranch-style influences that come together to create uniquely Texan cuisine.”
