Summer is almost over, at least in theory anyway. While there is still plenty of time to indulge in waterparks, pool parties, and boat activities, those of us autumn lovers – naive though we may be – dream of just a couple days of crisp fall weather in Texas between September and November. According to Farmers Almanac, that doesn’t seem to be in the cards. Take a read below to see the forecast for Texas fall 2025.

Fall in Texas 2025 Predictions
Once again, Texas is looking at a steamy pumpkin patch this autumn. According to Farmers Almanac, Texas will experience warmer-than-normal temperatures this September and October with below-normal to normal rainfall.
For September, the Farmers Almanac predicts hot and sunny conditions in early September with an average temperature of 79°F, 2 degrees above the norm. Mid month, the organization predicts scattered thunderstorms rounding out the month with cooler sunny weather.
In October, the almanac predicts general warm and sunny conditions early and later in the month with slightly cooler conditions – specifically an average temperature of 65°F, a degree below normal. Scattered storms and showers are predicted mid-month.
If the warmer news comes as a bit of a bummer to you, know that it’s not just Texas with the entirety of the U.S. expected to have a steamier autumn this year – so hopefully the FOMO won’t be too much.

So when does fall start in Texas?
While fall officially starts on Monday, September 22nd, it won’t start feeling like fall in Texas until late October, possibly even early November.
