Visitors can amble through the beautifully illuminated gardens, sipping on a warm cup of cocoa (and yes, more food and drinks are available too!). The displays of twinkling lights make for a perfect, Instagram-worthy backdrop.
For a bit more action, why not take a sled ride down some faux snow? It’s the closest you’ll get to the white stuff in Houston! And keep your eyes peeled – Santa’s playful reindeer are loose around the grounds, offering a fun, scavenger-hunt-style activity for kids and adults alike.

Gingerbread, trains and tinsel
That’s not the end of the show-stopping displays, there’s even more on offer that really captures the pure joy of the holidays.
There’s the iconic tree for a start! MFAH’s famous 15-foot Christmas tree is back, standing majestically over not one, but two gorgeous, handcrafted model trains at its base. It’s a nostalgic treat that will delight the child within everyone.
Not forgetting, the cutest gingerbread village! You can’t miss Gingerbread Lane, a sweet, aromatic world created by the World Record Holder for the largest gingerbread village, Jon Lovitch.
