We ourselves are strange and unusual. This September, gear up for all the festivities to come in Houston with the opening of this Beetlejuice pop-up at none other than Betelgeuse Betelgeuse on Washington.
Betelgeuse Betelgeuse is a neighborhood cocktail hangout and pizzeria. With two locations in Houston, the bar serves a variety of savory apps, eclectic pizzas, and innovative cocktails until 2 am nightly. Running until this mid September, Betelgeuse Betelgeuse is making our millennium by turning their Washington haunt into a full-scale Beetlejuice Beetlejuice pop-up.
In case you’re wondering, by the way, the bar takes its name from the Betelgeuse star in the Orion constellation (being in Space City) and not the title of the beloved 1988 horror comedy.
Running from September 4 to September 15, the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice pop-up in Houston will feature themed cocktails, giveaways, and over-the-top decor. The bar also plans to host special nights over the course of the event including costume contests, costume karaoke, and fun runs.
“THE BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE POP-UP AT OUR WASHINGTON LOCATION BEGINS AND RAGES FOR 11 STRAIGHT DAYS OF GHOST-WITH-THE-MOST ENERGY,” the bar wrote in a post on Instagram.
“CHECK THE SCHEDULE BELOW AND MAKE PLANS TO SPEND TOO MUCH TIME WITH US. ARE THERE DECORATIONS? IF THE ALL CAPS EFFORT HERE DIDNT GIVE IT AWAY (READ THE ROOM BRENDA) LET’S PUT IT THIS WAY, WE THOUGHT ABOUT SHUTTING WASHINGTON DOWN FOR THE DAY TO DECORATE BUT DECIDED YOU GET TO SEE THE CARNAGE IF YOU COME IN TONIGHT. SO COME IN AND TAKE A LOOK BEHIND THE JUICE DEMON CURTAIN.”
Featured nights include Monday, September 9, Betelgeuse Betelgeuse is hosting Industry Beetlejuice Day, in which patrons can sign a petition for a national Beetlejuice holiday. On Friday, September 13, the bar will be hosting a costume contest and offer free Friday the 13th tattoos.
Betelgeuse Betelgeuse are hosting their Beetlejuice pop-up at their Washington location at 2101 Washington Ave from now until September 15.
