The family-owned eatery is aiming to open a restaurant-only location by the end of this July.
Al Quick Stop, the Montrose mainstay, has long been the area go-to for quick-serve Mediterranean par excellence. This July, Al’s is expanding with a second location in Greater Heights with a more concentrated culinary focus.
The original Al Quick Stop in Montrose is a charming little bodega at the corner of Waugh Drive and Welch Street next to Rudyard’s Pub. In addition to its inventory of amenities, groceries, and the like, the Quick Stop offers dynamite eats, with a full breakfast, lunch & dinner menu.
Their diverse menu features appetizers, salads, soups, sandwiches, plates, specials, and more. From traditional Mediterranean favorites such as Falafel, Greek Salad, Tabouli, and Gyro Sandwiches, to cheese burgers, Carne Asada Plates, and a wide array of breakfast tacos, the Quick Stop menu in Montrose comes through with quality cooking every step of the way.
With the opening of the new restaurant, however, the Quick Stop plans to concentrate the menu with a greater Mediterranean emphasis. As such, the new menu will not feature burgers nor tacos, but will focus more so on Mediterranean fusion, such as their fan-favorite Shawarma Fries, Gyro Quesadillas, and Fajita Fries.
The new Quick Stop plans to open in Greater Heights by the end of July 2021 at 518 W 11th St. Suite 300 next to The Bearded Baker and Hando.
