Regularly ranking among Houston’s top dining spots, Aga’s Restaurant & Catering is an Indo-Pak restaurant known for its authentic, award-winning dishes. Opened in a strip mall in southwest Houston over two decades ago, the beloved restaurant is set to open up a second location in Katy soon.
Over the years, Aga’s has garnered heaps of accolades – both local and national. This past year, Houston Chronicle rated Aga’s as the top restaurant in Houston. In a recent article calling Houston as “the most exciting place to eat in America“, Food & Wine echoed the sentiment, ranking Aga’s as the top place to eat in the city:
“How can a restaurant of this size turn out food this good this quickly for this many people? Visit Aga’s for the logistical marvel as well as the succulent beef bihari and the chicken anari boti, a pomegranate-infused South Asian barbecue staple.”

The restaurant has also been written up in the likes of New York Times, Foodbeast, and Yelp.
After 25 years, Aga’s is finally gearing up to its second-ever location. Slated to open on Wednesday, June 24, Aga’s has mapped out a location at 102 W Grand Parkway S. in Katy. Whereas Aga’s restaurant 11842 Wilcrest Dr. offers a casual dining atmosphere with multiple seating areas, its Katy location will comprise of a 4,200-square-foot, take-out-only facility.
The move was in large part due to the success of its flagship location. As one of the hottest dining destinations in Houston, the restaurant has attracted lines of patrons. With its Katy location, the restaurant is aiming to shorten lines at its dine-in location.

Though Aga’s Katy location will not offer dine-in services, the restaurant will be serving its fully menu at its take-out location. This includes its 100% Zabiha Halal menu and featured items. For the uninitiated, Aga’s menu highlights include their signature Goat Chops – which NY Times critic Priya Krishna described as a “deeply primal pleasure” – as well as the Chicken Tikka Masala and Mithai Chaat.
Aga’s Take Out Restaurant in Katy opens for online, call-in, and walk-in orders on June 24, 2026.
