If your ideal Christmas involves twinkling streets, cozy storefronts, and a cup of cocoa somewhere along the way, this festive village north of Houston belongs on your holiday list.
The Christmas Village in Huntsville returns on November 12, 2026, for its second season. Located just north of Conroe off I-45, the attraction brings together millions of lights, holiday shopping, seasonal entertainment, and nostalgic scenery inspired by a European Christmas market.
Think Christmas-movie atmosphere—with a distinctly Texas address.

What is The Christmas Village?
Following its inaugural season in 2025, The Christmas Village is welcoming visitors back for another round of festive evenings in Huntsville. This year, the experience will feature even more lights, food and drink options, attractions, and an additional train!
Rather than simply driving past decorations, visitors can make an evening of it, exploring the village’s holiday displays, browsing gifts, and stopping for something warm to drink. The organizers describe the setting as a place to begin—or continue—a family Christmas tradition.
What can you do at The Christmas Village?
There’s more to this holiday outing than a stroll beneath the lights.
The village’s attractions include an open-air Christmas train, outdoor screenings of classic holiday films, live music, light shows, and a dedicated children’s area. Visitors can also gather around campfires for roasted marshmallows or stop for a photograph with Santa.
For an extra dose of storybook charm, the village also offers horse-drawn carriage and wagonette rides through its Trail of Lights. These experiences require separate add-on tickets as well as general admission.
There’s a change to the carriage experience worth noting this year: instead of booking individual seats, guests reserve an entire carriage for a private ride accommodating up to four guests over the age of two. The wagonette offers a shared alternative, with an approximately 20-minute ride through the illuminated trail.
Festive food, drinks, and shopping
Come ready to leave a little room for holiday treats.
The village advertises a mix of seasonal sweets and hearty comfort food, alongside hot cocoa and other festive beverages. Whether you’re warming up between attractions or taking a break from browsing, food and drink are part of the evening’s appeal.
Its holiday market also offers handcrafted gifts, keepsakes, and other small treasures—an opportunity to work through your Christmas shopping list while soaking up the atmosphere.

When is The Christmas Village open in 2026?
The 2026 season runs from November 12 through December 31 on selected nights. Opening hours are 5–11 p.m., with parking opening at 4 p.m. The village does not operate every evening, so check its event calendar before planning your trip.
How much are tickets?
Admission prices vary by night, with the following starting rates listed for the 2026 season:
- Adults, ages 13–64: from $34.99.
- Children, ages 3–12: from $24.99.
- Seniors and veterans: from $30.99.
- Children ages two and under: free.
Parking costs $10 per vehicle, and visitors are required to purchase a parking pass in advance alongside their tickets. The venue says this helps reserve space for each vehicle and manage nightly attendance.
Planning more than one visit? The village also lists 2026 season passes at $99.99 for adults, $67.99 for children, and $89.99 for seniors. Carriage and wagonette rides are separate purchases, so factor those into your plans if they’re on your holiday wish list.
