Houston horror fans will get the chance to come face-to-face with one of cinema’s most enduring slashers this Halloween season. Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group (13FEG) and Horror, Inc. have teamed up to bring Jason Universe: Survive the Night — a fully licensed, immersive haunted walkthrough — to the city, alongside a limited-capacity interactive experience called Jason Universe: Director’s Cut.
Jason Universe at 13th Floor
The walkthrough puts guests inside the world of Jason Voorhees, the hockey-masked killer who has haunted the Friday the 13th franchise since 1980. Expect theme park-level production design, close encounters, and no clear escape route. The premise is simple: keep moving and hope you make it to morning.
You’re the Director — Until Jason Decides Otherwise
The Director’s Cut add-on is where things get genuinely unusual. A camp counselor leads a small group into a cabin, then hands them control of Jason’s next attack via four buttons: Panic, Slash, Strike, or Stalk. Guests effectively script the next scene — though the experience makes clear that Jason ultimately answers to no one. Availability is extremely limited each night, and participants leave with a collectible “Jason Universe: Director’s Cut” patch.
This marks the first officially licensed Jason Universe attraction of its kind, combining Horror, Inc.’s intellectual property with 13FEG’s track record in large-scale live horror events.
Both experiences will run this Halloween season at the Houston location, alongside stops in Austin, San Antonio, Denver, Phoenix, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Nashville, and Green Bay.
