In a world of buzzworthy food and drink listicles, the latest to makes its rounds on the internet is OpenTable’s “Top 100 Restaurants in America 2025”. The list, conducted by a pairing of diners’ reviews and ratings, featured just one Houston restaurant: BCN Taste & Tradition.
BCN Taste & Tradition is an upscale, contemporary Spanish restaurant off Richmond Avenue in Montrose. Its inclusion on OpenTable’s list is no surprise to any of us. The restaurant, owned by Ignacio Torres, is after all a Michelin-Starred concept, recently retaining its Michelin Star in the second edition of the Texas Michelin Guide.

Here’s what OpenTable had to say of BCN:
“BCN Taste and Tradition is where you go for the ultimate Spanish fine-dining experience, thanks to Barcelona native and chef Luis Roger. In a charming 1920’s-style bungalow decked with art from Spanish artists like Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró, Roger impresses with artfully plated dishes like a suckling Ibérico pig and salt-cured cod with saffron mousseline. Stellar, all-Spanish wines and a deep gin and tonic list add to the transportative vibe at this MICHELIN-Starred Montrose gem.”
The Houston restaurant was one of just 10 Texas restaurants to make OpenTable’s top 100 list; one Dallas restaurant landed a spot, with the rest of the restaurants located in Austin.

The OpenTable Top 100 Restaurants for 2025 list was compiled from over 10 million reviews by verified diners between September 1, 2024, and August 31, 2025. Restaurants were scored using a weighted combination of factors, including overall diner ratings and five-star percentage, percentage of advance reservations, and the frequency of online searches, after meeting a minimum review threshold.
BCN Taste & Tradition is located at 4210 Roseland St. in Houston. The restaurant is open from 5 pm to 8:30 pm Monday through Thursday; and from 5 pm to 9:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. BCN Taste & Tradition also offers brunch on Saturdays between 11;30 am to 2 pm.
