Escape to a historic Houston venue this spring at these enchanting Candlelight classical music concerts.
You can still experience an absolutely magical (and safe) spring here in Houston, and part of that is thanks to the amazing outdoor spaces the city has to offer. Luckily, Fever Originals is bringing its wildly popular Candlelight concert series to a beautiful open-air venue for the season. [Featured image: @Khanh Nguyen]
The series showcases classical music performances in utterly magical settings, as top musicians are completely surrounded by flickering candlelight. For the safety of our audience, all of the candlelight will be provided through flameless candles.
And of course, the new open-air venue will allow for a stylish but safe socially distant setting. Enjoy an amazing night outdoors while being whisked away by the beautiful, tranquil sounds of classical numbers.
You can already be a classical fan, but have no fear if you don’t know all things Vivaldi—simply sit back and savor the stunning pieces you’ll hear. Programs include classics like Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, and a Holiday Special Featuring Tchaikovsky & Winter Classics.
Or, spice up your evening with a romantic journey to Spain for a stunning Flamenco performance! Hosted at Hughes Manor, here you can behold a passionate array of traditional Flamenco dancing, clapping, and guitar-playing, that will have you cheering olé!
There will be two shows each evening with time beforehand to enjoy a few sips or a bite. Please note that the earlier performance will take place during daylight hours, so the space will not be quite as dark, but still just as enchanting!
Prepare to be taken away by the grandeur of Hughes Manor. Centered in the culturally rich, Washington, Heights district, Hughes Manor lends its historical building, modern luxury, and industrial chic design, to serve as the gorgeous setting in which to experience these charming candlelight concerts.
You’ll be seated in their charming outdoor oasis alongside this very vegetation, with food and nonalcoholic beverages available for additional purchase.
Concerts will also be held in Avant Garden. Housed in the historical, turn-of-the-century Kraft house, the venue regularly hosts poetry, jazz, theatre, flamenco, and more. Avant Garden is simultaneously one of Houston’s best kept secrets, as well as a cultural hub for the city’s bar and arts scene.
Doors open 45 minutes prior to the start time. Guests are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes before the concert begins. Late admission is not allowed under any circumstances. Upon arrival, guests will have their temperature taken by an infrared contactless thermometer. Guests must also wear masks at any time when not seated. If you do not have a mask, the venue will provide you with one.
Don’t miss out on what’s sure to be one of the city’s most popular spring events! Purchase your tickets for this incredible concert series here.
All shows will follow the government guidelines for safety measures and the events will always operate at safe capacities set out by law.
